What grinds your gears?

Apparently when the RA comes into my room without knocking.
I don't know how exactly that comes up, but it did, and my gears are ground.
Seriously, WTF?! Did he grow up in a country that is considered rude in?!

Also it grinds my gears when a foodservice employee won't let a customer say, "surprise me," when asking a question about what sort of side is to go with an entrée.
