My taste in anime and manga don't waver much when it comes to adaptations of manga to anime or vice versa, but top manga in no particular order:
-xxxHolic -Vassalord - Bride of the Water God (though not japanese) - Wallflower -Detective Conan - Camelot Garden - Clover - Legal Drug - Godchild - Loveless Others that didn't make it on the list though I loves thems: Marmalade Boy, Kodocha, Kare Kano and some of that other sugary, girly crap I grew up on.
