I would go with MoonHawks idea of dealing with it.

In the end, words like weeabo or something like that only have power over the people who doubt their own way even if it is a bit. It is like with suggestion, you can control people by words alone, make them believe that they are something if you have enough willpower. I think this works the same way around too.
