Why is this show so tense? I don't understand!

Poor Nanako, I felt bad that Poodle Girl had to be a jerk till the last second. I can't believe she arrived at the last second. I was hoping the Prince would faint and her excuse would be helping him, but now I have no idea how she's gonna get out of this.

This sucks! The cliffhanger!

As a dude, I'm even more confused at how tense the all girls' school politics are each week. Nevertheless I'm still super hype for next episode, even if the cliff was partially sloped by the next episode preview.
